This painting was a Christmas gift for my mother, so though I finished it a few days ago I had to wait until now to post it to avoid spoiling the surprise! This horse, Spud (Touch of Frost is his official name,) is retiring from shows at the end of this season and I thought I’d do something special and paint him.
